Coroner IDs Murrieta Man Killed Near Temecula Mall

TEMECULA, CA — A Murrieta man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Temecula while allegedly jaywalking near the mall has been identified. Alandre Kent, 22, died on Winchester Road, west of Margarita Road, shortly after 4 a.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau. The area is in front of the Promenade Temecula mall. Sheriff's investigators said the pedestrian was jaywalking across Winchester before being struck by the vehicle. The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities, sheriff's officials said. No arrests were made. "It is not believed intoxication played a role in this collision," said Sgt. Joey Sinz.
