PITTSBURGH, PA — The Steelers continue to have an offense that's difficult to watch, but thanks to the charity of the Tennessee Titans they eked out a win on Sunday. Here's what NFL writers across the country thought about the game: Gary Gramling, Sports Illustrated: "It's incredible the Steelers are still in this thing with theiridentity: No semblance of an offense, and a defense that can't stop the run and must take the ball away multiple times every week (which, when you have T.J. Watt, you at least have a chance to do)." Chase Goodbread, NFL.com:"Give 11 game balls to the Steelers defense in this one. The Pittsburgh defense came through with three fourth-quarter turnovers to flip momentum in this game and deliver a must-win for a Steelers team that is fighting for a postseason berth."Brooke Pryor, ESPN: "The Steelers have a pesky habit of getting hot after halftime, but the slow starts force them into an almost doomed game of catch-up. There are still significant problems the Steelers must address to keep the momentum going."John Breech, CBS Sports: "It's hard to lose when your defense forces four turnovers, as was the case for the Steelers on Sunday. The Steelers' offense left a lot to be desired, but didn't turn the ball over, which proved to be the difference in Sunday's game."Curt Popejoy, Yahoo Sports: "This is a huge win for Pittsburgh as it extends their record to 7-6-1 and keeps them in the playoff hunt. But the team must find a way to get the football into the end zone with some consistency. Thankfully kicker Chris Boswell continues to be the team's best scoring option as he accounted for 13 of the Steelers' 19 points."Next: The Steelers play the Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday at 4:25 p.m. Be the first to know what's happening in your community and region.
