Press release from the McHenry County Government: 12/20/2021 10:22 AM PRESS RELEASE  December 20, 2021 JOSHUA KREGER SENTENCED TO 59 YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR THE OFFENSES OF PREDATORY CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT AND AGGRAVATED CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State's Attorney, announces that Joshua Kreger, 35, of Wonder Lake, was sentenced to a total of 59 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections by Honorable Judge Michael Coppedge after being convicted of nine counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse on October 6, 2021, at the conclusion of a three-day jury trial.  From 2016 to 2018, Kreger repeatedly engaged in acts of sexual penetration with a child under the age of 13. Under the Illinois Truth in Sentencing Guidelines, Kreger must serve at least 48.4 years of his sentence. This case was investigated by Amy Bucci of the Algonquin Police Department and Rich Svejcar of the McCullom Lake Police Department. This case was prosecuted by Assistant State's Attorneys Brian Miller, Jim Newman and Mary Ann Scholl of the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office. ##### This press release was produced by the McHenry County Government.
