Elmhurst Woman Accused Of Domestic Battery: Cops

ELMHURST, IL — In the last few days, Elmhurst police have handled cases involving domestic battery, a fight, drugs, gun violations and DUIs. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports: Domestic battery Zoey Buonamici, 19, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Prospect on a charge of domestic battery. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, Buonamici shoved a female and prevented her from leaving the house. Fight Medardo Esparza, 22, of Posen, was arrested about 4 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Haven on charges of battery and criminal trespass to a residence. In the same incident, Marisol Esparza, 24, of Posen, was arrested on charges of criminal trespass to a residence and criminal damage to property. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, the pair entered an apartment and started a fight. Drugs Carol Panek, 54, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Extended Stay America, 550 W. Grand, on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Gun violations Willie H. Wiggins, 31, of Chicago, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Third and Larch on charges of DUI and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was released on bond. In the same stop, Dequence Goodman, 29, of Chicago, was arrested on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, Goodman was in possession of a gun, but did not have a valid concealed carry license. Edwin O. Heredia, 22, of Northlake, was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday at Interstate 290 on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, street racing, possession of marijuana by a driver and improper window tinting. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, Heredia admitted to being in possession of a loaded handgun. He had a firearm owner's identification, or FOID, card, but not a card for concealed carry. DUIs Christian D. Ochotorena, 30, of Chicago, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Thursday at York and Church on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and driving the wrong way on a one-way street. He was released on bond. Marquese Carter, 25, of Chicago, was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday at North and Van Auken on charges of DUI, reckless driving, disobeying a traffic control device and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on bond. Driving violations Marko Brown, 48, of Chicago, was cited about 11:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Charles and Fair on charges of no valid driver's license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on bond. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and people charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
