Bass player looking for like-minded individuals that value traditional musicianship. I self practice daily at home to keep the chops up, the meter steady and gain new technique whether I'm working with someone or not. Looking for the same in others. When it comes to covers, I'm a "like the record" player. Preserves the magic of the song. For originals, tell me what you want and show me what you have. I use classic style Fender gear. Have amps for different sized venues. Have played most styles multiple times. Personally influenced by Electric Blues, Soul, British Invasion, Acid / Psychedelic Rock, Blues Rock, select 70's Prog / Art Rock, Glam Rock, Zappa, Grateful Dead / Dead & Company, Yacht / Jazz Rock, New Romantics, 80's New Wave / Indie / Paisley Underground, Power Pop, select Alternative from the 90's to today. Not a lead vocalist, will contribute harmony vocals that suit my range, volume permitting. Let me know what you have going on or what you're looking to do. Have audio samples to trade for yours. I am NOT interested in any of the following: a simplified approach to covers that ruins the groove, chronic tempo issues / rushing the songs, a beyond-tired "Phoenix 40" cover song list of the same material a thousand bands did / still do, players using a sound that doesn't blend well in a mix and muddies things up, Metal, Rap, EDM, lengthy Prog Rock compositions, an "all Hard Rock" or "all Country" song list, or unnecessarily loud volume levels.
