Description
CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Heights Libraries are closing their facilities to the public and returning to only offering curbside service.
The library system closed all of its branches on Saturday and intends to keep them closed to the public for the foreseeable future. However, curbside service will again be offered at all branches starting on Tuesday.
The Heights Libraries said they were concerned about staffing shortages and a spike in COVID-19 cases locally.
"Currently, there are six staff members in quarantine and several more awaiting test results, while we are already trying to fill existing vacancies," the library system said in a statement.
Details on each branch's new hours should be released on Monday and will be added to this story.
"We are deeply appreciative of the community's understanding and support during this challenging time," the library system said in a statement.
