UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — It's no secret that COVID-19 is surging once again in the state and city. New York state has broken its new positive COVID case count record three days in a row, with another 22,478 New Yorkers testing positive on Sunday — 12,404 of whom live in New York City. Reports have detailed the long waits at COVID-19 testing sites around the city, while some New Yorkers have been unable to find anywhere at all to get tested. Between Dec. 11 and Dec. 17, 1,397 people in the Upper East Side's five ZIP codes tested positive for the virus, according to the city.
