Whether you are having a large party or small get together, these crafted cocktails will be a hit. We spoke to a few of Gwinnett's greatest local bartenders for suggestions on drinks you can make right in your own kitchen. 1910 Public House: The Rye Tye 1910's bartender Ran Kenmore shared the recipe for the Rye Tye: 1910 Public House is currently offering to go family meals, as well as select grocery items (such as toilet paper, meat and dry pasta) subject to availability. Local Republic: Homemade Ginger Beer Local Republic does a lot of unique things. One is their homemade ginger beer, which Jerad Henry, bar manager, has graciously shared with us. Homemade ginger beer: Bring 3 cups of water & 1/4 cup of sugar to a boil and remove from heat. Add 1 cup of peeled, finely-minced ginger and stir. Cover and let steep for 1 hour. Press mixture through fine mesh strainer and let cool completely. Once cooled to room temperature, add 3/4 oz lemon juice, and 1/4 oz lime juice. To enjoy, add 1 part ginger syrup to 3 parts seltzer water and serve over ice. Store in fridge, and use within 7 days. Use your homemade ginger beer to create an easy at home cocktails: While Local Republic is temporarily closed, you can still support them by donating to their GoFundMe. Good Word Brewing & Public House Good Word's bartender, Allen Parker, has a few at-home drink suggestions up his sleeve. And he even made some videos to help you get it right. Good Word is currently open for beer pick up from Wednesday-Sunday from 12-4pm and food pick up from 4-8pm. The soup kitchen is open Sunday from 12-3pm.
