DEARBORN, MI — Police arrested two suspects Saturday morning who were wanted in connection to a Dearborn shooting that wounded two people, Dearborn Police said.
Officers said two people were shot on the 14000 block of Michigan Avenue in Dearborn on Saturday morning at 12:40 a.m.
Both where transported to a local hospital where one was listed in critical condition while the other was released, police said.
Officers arrested the two suspects several hours later at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning after they investigated the scene, police said.
Police determined the shooting wasn't a random act of violence, authorities said.
"As I've said before, we will not tolerate this type of abhorrent behavior," Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. "These individuals were apprehended quickly due to a total team effort by our officers and the department's ability to rapidly deploy necessary resources for critical events."
The suspects' identities are being withheld pending formal charges from the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, authorities said.
