BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Levite Jewish Community Center recently received a competitive grant worth $20,000. The grant, from the Robert R. Meyer Foundation, will be used to help transform the LJCC courtyard into a covered space for wellness, camp and community programs.
"We're very excited about building a space that will be protected from the summer sun and pop-up rain showers," LJCC executive director Aimee Johnson said. "And we're especially excited about the Robert R. Meyer funds because they'll allow us to leverage the Grinspoon Foundation's investment that is going toward the purchase of our new pavilion."

December 24: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.December 25: 8 a.m.-noonDecember 31: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.January 1: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
