Our Lady of Guadalupe is seeking a full time School Custodian. This position performs all duties related to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the school building and grounds. Offering $18-$20 an hour with benefits (medical, dental, vision, retirement, sick, vacation) II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Primarily responsible for ensuring school building is cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis. Includes maintaining classrooms, bathrooms and common areas throughout the day. • Provides minor maintenance services to school building and grounds. May perform cleaning and minor maintenance of other campus facilities as requested. • Maintains playground in a safe and clean manner. • Assures the collection and disposal of garbage. • Provides other general assistance as needed (i.e. setting up the chairs and tables, hauling/moving items and picking up parts or other equipment as requested by staff). • Communicates inventory and supply needs to Facilities Supervisor for ordering. • Sets up for special events as requested (e. g. chairs, tables and other equipment for special events). • Performs annual maintenance tasks as identified. III. REQUIREMENTS • Previous experience in a custodial service-based position desired. • Proof of COVID vaccination required per state mandate. • Must pass background check upon hire. • High attention to detail. • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to follow oral and written instructions • Ability to work independently and within a team • Disposition to perform other duties as assigned • To successfully perform the essential duties of this position, an individual must be able to: • Ability to lift, push pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds • Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head • Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during site visits • Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists • Walking in and around the facility with great frequency • Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation • Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation) • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours.
