We are currently interviewing (and hiring) for an *Automotive Technician* with electrical and drive-ability skills as well as the ability to perform under-car and under-hood repairs and services. As an *Automotive Technician* you will be called upon to service a broad range of vehicle repair issues and for quickly identifying the cause of performance problems. Job Requires a minimum of 7 years experience working as an *Automotive Technician* in an automotive repair shop or dealership. *Automotive Technician Job Responsibilities* * Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. * Explain discovered mechanical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors and if necessary to customers. * Continuously seek out and learn new technical information, equipment, tools and techniques * Professionally record findings on approved documents so that necessary customer estimates and proper repairs can be made. *Automotive Technician Job Requirements* * Minimum of 7 years of experience working in the industry as an automotive technician * Hold a valid driver’s license * Appropriate hand tools necessary for services performed * Automotive Service Excellence ( _ASE_ ) and A/C Refrigerant handling certifications are a plus, but not required unless performing A/C or other license required services Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment such as Scanners, electrical diagnostic equipment, AC recovery equipment, Fluid Exchange Equipment, Lift operation, etc. *To Apply Please:* \* Provide a resume for our review\* Possess some certifications from ASE\* Be proficient with schematics and flowcharts\* Be capable of utilizing diagnostic resources on-line, over-the-phone and in-shop\* Be able to communicate with selling staff, technicians and customers in a professional manner\* Have reliable transportation with a valid driver license\* Have the proper tools, hand and air, to get the job done correctly and efficiently *What we have to offer:* \* Employee Friendly Working Hours M-F 8A - 5P* Well-maintained equipment\* Well-lighted work areas\* Current software at computer terminals in our shop\* Our customers trust our shop\* Safe and secure location with a good clientele \* Provided Uniforms\* Great Pay\*Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off\*Medical, Dental and Vision Health Plans Available\*401K Retirement with Match Option Pay for Automotive Technician will be negotiable based on skill & Experience Job Type: Full-time Required experience: * Automotive Technician: 7 years Required license or certification: * Driver's License Required education: * High school or equivalent
