This position reports directly daily to the lead on the job and, and ultimately, to the owners of the company. There is much room for growth as your skills are assessed and progress. The Carpenter/ Skilled Laborer will complete tasks as assigned for our work on home renovations, and other related work. Attention to detail and the ability to follow directions are absolutely essential to your success with the company. You will receive paid on the job training in other areas that you do not have experience and sharpening of skills you may already have GENERAL JOB DUTIES Carpentry, flooring, cabinet installation, tile installation/cutting, doors, windows, trim. Interior painting and caulking, drywall installation and repair, painting prepping site for work and clean up before, during and after the work day Basic Plumbing, Electrical a HUGE plus! JOB REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate will possess the following: *Integrity, honesty and a strong work ethic, as evidenced by a positive employment history *Attention to detail, reliability and a positive attitude, where quality workmanship is held to a high personal and company standard *Minimum two years home improvement, rental property maintenance and/or maintenance person experience required *A reliable, insured vehicle, preferably a truck/van/utility vehicle, with a clean driving record and current driver’s license *Emotional maturity, ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with superiors and colleagues, and find “solutions” - not “problems” - in everyday challenges *ability to take direction and open to other ways of completing a task than you may be used to *no criminal background and no drama *live within the Fairfax VA area as that is where our projects are Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: COVID vaccine/booster required when hired or within 45 days of hire to be completely vaccinated. Masks are worn on jobsites and frequent cleaning
