Ross HX 401 S 2nd Ave. Marshalltown, IA 50158 Job Description Position: Shop laborer Industry: Sales and Services in the Plate and Frame Heat Exchanger industry. We are looking for a strong general laborer to perform a variety of physical tasks. General laborers' responsibilities include working in a shop environment servicing plate and frame heat exchangers and traveling to customers facilities on site. To be successful as a general laborer you must be able to perform a wide variety of tasks that require stamina and an eagerness to learn on the job. A good general laborer is able to understand instructions and carry them out efficiently within the given deadline. Description • Handle and transport materials (SS plates) and equipment (drills and wrenches) • Use power tools and machinery (forklifts) when needed • Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (pressure washing, gasketing) • Travel when needed • Available to work overtime and on weekends as necessary • OSHA 10 is a plus Requirements • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 60 pounds etc.) • Use of hand tools above shoulders and in elevated positions • Working in extreme weather/temperature conditions • Mechanically inclined • Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus • Communication and teamwork skills • Commitment to safety rules
