compensation: 3000.00 to 6,000.00 monthly average employment type: contract Attention licensed party boat captains and pontoon captains! I'm looking for 5-6 individual(s) to join our team this Spring! You must be 23 years old at a minimum. I'm looking for experienced boat captains that have worked on party pontoons, party barges, yachts, work boats, etc - and have the availability to work some weekdays as well. You will run pontoon charters on boats that are 24-40 feet in length, and are well kept. I can train you to run the boat properly, what to pay attention to, safety procedures, how to handle customers. If you have mechanical aptitude to understand what is going on with the boat, that is a huge plus, and you will be able to get hours during off season for update, repairs, and maintenance in the off season. Expectations: 1. You need to be personable, friendly, patient, but able to get control of a group of people when needed. 2. A MUST is following the safety guidelines that are set forth by the company, and you are able to articulate those to the customer in a professional manner. 3. I expect the boat and my captains to be respected by the customers, and I back my captains up to make sure things go smoothly for you and the guests while on charter. 4. You have to abide by absolutely no alcohol or drug use while on the job - period, no exceptions! 5. Looking for someone clean cut, well kept, and professional. 6. You know how to properly dock a boat, anchor a boat, tie off boats, and hand pull an anchor when neccessary depending on the boat. 7. Again, have to be able to work weekdays randomly. 8. Be on time to get the boat ready for charter. 9. Communicate with your charter guests via text 2 days before their scheduled charter (I'll explain in more detail via interview) 10. You are a go getter, good communicator, and have some level of mechanical aptitude. 11. You will keep your boat clean for our customer base. Benefits: 1. No cooking for customers! 2. Payroll is ran twice weekly - no waiting two weeks for your paycheck 3. Groups are not huge like on party barges! (groups range from 13 passengers to 24 passengers) 4. You make great income! 5. Clean up times are short on our boats(procedures are in place) 6. If something needs to be fixed, you need extra supplies, etc - it gets done quickly. 7. Maintenance, supplies, repairs, etc are communicated via mobile app - checklist is used so you see when task is completed. Also, massive amounts of work go into our yachts and pontoons annually, parts are replaced, maintenance is kept up, and updates happen yearly... I don't send my customers or captains out on garbage equipment. Clientele for the most part have good incomes, and are pulled together, due to the cost of renting the yacht or pontoons. Need to be available from March through middle/end of October. Captains average between 3k-6k in income per month. Captain service fee is provided by the customer(and is mandatory in the full 20%), so your 1099k is very low... captain service fee is up to you to report if you choose to do so.
