Sunset Mission // Zoe Lemos //ADDIE // Fake Sisters at Hawks and Reed Hawks and Reed ALL AGES Sunset Mission Zoe Lemos, Addie, Fake sisters Live Music at Hawks and Reed! Sunset Mission at Hawks and ReedSunset Mission is an eight-piece progressive rock band based in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. The band, which originally included Dana Goodwin and Jan Schwartz, formed out of the remains of the local Boston-based band Conundrum Nine four years ago and released their debut full-length album, "Journey To Lunar Castellum" in December of 2019. The promotional and touring efforts of Sunset Mission were put on hold during 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, though the band continued their work in the studio, putting together the 16-minute prog song "Eternal Flight" and releasing it in March of 2021. In the spring of 2021, efforts to put together a live iteration of the band began in earnest. Because Sunset Mission's progressive sound required more instruments than the straightforward funk-rock of Conundrum Nine, Dana and Jan decided to expand the band's live line-up, and the band now includes Dana on drums, keyboard and vocals, Jan on guitar, Colin Stevens on guitar, Kim Chin-Gibbons on guitar and vocals, Douglas Appleman on keyboard and vocals, Jesse Mattison on keyboard and vocals, Lilah Asbornsen on vocals, and Nate Porter on bass. This new and expanded lineup performs material from Journey to Lunar and continues to write and perform original music with all 8 members of the band. On November 12, Sunset Mission released a new single called "The Willow", a song which will be heard on their forthcoming album, to be released sometime in the fall of 2022.
