We're teaming up with the Traverse Conference at Watershed School in Boulder, Colorado for an in-person ASP Launchpad cohort! The Anchor Schools Project (ASP), and initiative of AnchorEd, is a whole-school change model that supports schools to bring academics, operations, and culture in alignment with their missions, the aspirations of today’s students, and the needs of society. We help schools move beyond community service mode and get into anchor mode. A Cohort Learning ExpeditionJoin educators from around the country for three days of immersive, place-based learning. Take back to your school the inspiration, tools, and relationships you need to create school-wide change. ASP@Traverse is an in-person Anchor Schools Project (ASP) Launchpad cohort experience that will run parallel to other Traverse expeditions. Participants will enjoy conference plenary sessions and group meals and will have access to morning and evening optional activities. Bring a team of 3-5 colleagues to launch your school's journey to become an equity-centered community anchor. With Boulder as our classroom, over the course of three days you will: Learn about the ASP Equity Outcomes Framework and Dashboard Explore the intersection of community engagement, DEI, curriculum, and institutional systems (policies and practices) Delve into anchor school exemplars and learn from Watershed's journey Practice place-based approaches with local community leadersUse design-thinking to create your school's ASP Roadmap activation plan To extend the learning, all participating schools receive a one-year membership with the ASP Alliance, a community of inquiry and practice, including access to​ webinars, resources, and networking.
