Join our intersectional community for the second 'Hike the NH48' event! <3 Please read entirely, gear list and waiver at the bottom! This takes place on N’dakinna, the traditional ancestral homeland of the Abenaki, Pennacook, and Wabanaki Peoples. Join All Outdoors Collective NH for a winter hike up one of New Hampshire’s 4k footers, Mount Waumbek! This 7 mile round-trip hike starts with a gradual ascent up to the summit of Mt. Starr King and then on to Mt. Waumbek. It is rated as moderate on AllTrails and never gets too steep. This hike will take around 6-7 hours. Please bring a mask and we will use covid safety protocols. AOCNH is a safe space dedicated to making the outdoors an inclusive environment for everyone 🌈 REQUIRED GEAR: Micro Spikes (This trail will be snowy and icy) Gear: warm socks, sock liners, winter hiking boots, micro spikes, (snowshoes -tbd), thermal/fleece pants or leggings with possible shell layer, synthetic base layer top, fleece or wool mid-layer, warm puffy jacket, extra layer like wind breaker or vest (or both! Especially if you get cold easily!!), rain jacket layer, gloves (again bring an extra warm winter pair if you get cold easy), neck buff, warm hat, hand/feet warmers, trekking poles, 2 liters of water, snacks, minimal first aid kit. NO COTTON!!! There you will find Ali in a neon pink and blue wind breaker with an All Outdoors Collective sign. GPS directions from AllTrails app is very useful. Reach out on Insta with any questions!
