Rehome this 1 year AKC Newfoundland male to save from the pound PLEASE DO NOT FLAG THIS POST. IT FOLLOWS ALL CL GUIDELINES> This is a one year old purebred Newfoundland ("Newfie") male that we are vainly trying to rehome – or he goes to be euthanized THIS WEEK. DOG DETAILS: Brown with green eyes and white chest. -- aka "bronze". AKC registered, all shots UTD, fixed, chipped and healthy – with all papers and records. THE BAD!! He has bitten 3 people in the past two weeks, which is the reason we are desperately looking for an alternative to putting him down. All incidents have been centered around putting his usual collar on him, and he reacting aggressively. The reason for this sudden behavioral change is UNKNOWN and not worth our further investigation or correctional training. He physically healthy otherwise. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TAKING ON THIS CHALLENGE, you’ll need to assume full responsibility, of course, right? There will also be a rehoming fee (to be established) to ensure he goes to a properly-equipped and mentally-prepared home that can ensure his upkeep and well-being. There are no returns. Otherwise, the pup is going to be euthanized tomorrow (Monday 20DEC, if all goes according to plan) for a gentle departure rather than a life of hell with someone who over-committed out of ignorance. Please don't call just to chit-chat about dogs. Make sure that you know about large dogs and have experience handling them without being abusive. We would need to ensure that you would not abuse the dog and would be able to financially support his care and welfare. Thanks for understanding.
