PCI is seeking a Site Safety Representative for its Chicago Interior operations based in South Bend, IN. This individual will be responsible for the following duties: Promote safety, safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture throughout all site and field personnel. Assist site with the implementation and administration of the company’s accident prevention plan, policies and procedures. Including safety resources such as training, expertise and guidance. Represent PCI and participate in Safety activities. Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine and non-routine safety and health hazards. Ensure company and client safety reports and documentation are submitted timely and in accordance with client requirements and expectations. Council and coach workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies and procedures. Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards. Conduct job site inspections and periodic audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance. Responsible for assisting investigations and evaluations of injuries and illnesses for the project site. Convey a professional and positive attitude as the safety representative of plant site and corporation. Evaluate and approve safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE). Basic Requirements: Minimum 5 years' experience in a safety related field. Completed OSHA 10-hour and First Aid/CPR certifications. Must be at least 18 years old. Minimum Requirements: On-the-job training offered. Prolonged periods standing and working inside and outside. Physically able to perform assigned tasks. Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time.  Trained in emergency procedures and monitor worker safety on a construction site. Preferred Requirements: Experience in Commercial Construction. Bilingual in Spanish & English.
