This class will cover the general care and maintenance of grape plants and canes. University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is an outreach arm of the University that extends unbiased, research-based knowledge to local communities. Educational programs and projects are developed based on local needs in partnership with other agencies and volunteers. The Research Center and Demonstration Orchard is part of Southern Nevada Extension. Master Gardener Yutaka Nomura, will teach the fundamentals of how to plant, care for and maintain healthy vines. Part of the class will be in a classroom setting and the latter part will be a hands-on demonstration of how to prune the canes.
