2nd Annual Chagrin Falls Euchre Tournament Grab a partner and you've got a team! Come to the 2nd Annual Chagrin Falls Euchre Tournament beginning at 7pm sharp on Saturday, February 12, at Chagrin Falls Township Hall. Tickets are limited so be sure to secure a spot for your team soon! Your ticket gives you entry into the tournament, snacks, drinks, and chance to win the Grand Prize! Additional information is available by sending questions via email to: [email protected]. Good Luck! Chagrin Falls Euchre Tournament Rules/Format The opening round will be played “Round Robin” style. Each team will play a minimum number of games based on the total number of teams who have entered. The top one OR two teams (depending on the total number of entered teams) from each group will move on to the “Elimination Round”. A bracket will be created and each team will need to continue winning in order to advance. Cash prize goes to the winning team. Game Playing All games will be played as “Stick The Dealer”, which means if no one calls Trump, the Dealer must call Trump, and the hand must be played. Rank of Cards The highest trump is the jack of the trump suit, called the “right bower.” The second highest trump is the jack of the other suit of the same color, called the “left bower”. The remaining trumps, and also the plain suits, rank as follows: A (high), K, Q, J, 10, 9. Card Values/Scoring Partnership making trump wins 3 or 4 tricks - 1 point Partnership making trump wins 5 tricks - 2 points Lone hand wins 3 or 4 tricks - 1 point Lone hand wins 5 tricks - 4 points Partnership or lone hand is euchred, opponents score 2 points The first player or partnership to score 10 points wins the game. Rules: No table talking. No cheating, or risk forfeiture of entry. No reneging. Any questions on the format of the games, or rules, must be asked of the Tournament referee. The referee will have the final approval on all questions, and have the ability to remove players or teams from the tournament for any violations.
