(WIVB.com - News 4)A man suffered serious injuries after he was shot Saturday night south of the University at Buffalo South Campus, on Dartmouth Avenue. The shooting happened shortly before 9 p.m. on the 200 block of Dartmouth Avenue, just west of Bailey Avenue. The man's injuries were considered serious in nature, however, it is not known at this time where the man was treated. (WGRZ.com)Buffalo Police Commissioner Byron C. Lockwood will leave his post at the end of Feb., ending 38 years with the department. Lockwood had presided over the department – upstate New York's largest municipal police force – since Jan. 2018. A City Hall spokesman did not immediately respond Saturday to questions about replacing Lockwood, who was paid about $150,000 last year.
