Description
I need to rehome my Great Dane puppy, as he was purchased to be trained as a service animal but has not passed any preliminary tests. We just aren't bonding at all like I had hoped.
He's super friendly, knows sit/lay down/shake/jump/spin/get in (kennel)/back up/come/with me (sit at left side), and is house trained through a puppy pad due to the "No paws on the ground" rule. If you're unfamiliar with this rule, puppies shouldn't touch the ground outside in public areas until they've had all vaccines. He recently has been able to go outside but needs to transition fully, and he never has accidents inside. He's current on vaccinations including rabies.
He loves toys and playing tug, and he is great on the leash. His breeder introduced him to cats, the other dogs in the house, and he has seen chickens and a horse. He has met lots of people since he was vaccinated and is friendly with all of them. He can be a bit stubborn but loves food and will do anything for a treat. He will need patience with training because he isn't 100% solid on his commands.
He will come with his bed, collar, a few of his favourite toys, medical records, some food (Orijen large breed puppy), and oatmeal conditioning spray. I'm asking $300 for his rehoming fee since he is a puppy and will be a lot to handle. I don't want him to end up as a Christmas puppy that gets dumped in January. He has the potential to be a fantastic house pet. If interested, I will need to ask some questions about where and how he will be living.
