Press release from the City of Greenbelt: 12/18/2021 9:00 AM   PRESS RELEASE   December, 18, 2021 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Tim George, 240-542-2025 or Chondria Andrews, 240-542-2026  GREENBELT, MD - City Manager Nicole Ard's last day with the City of Greenbelt will be December 18, 2021. During her nearly five-year tenure, operational improvements and capital projects were completed. According to Ms. Ard, "I appreciate City Councils allowing me the opportunity to serve. I thank each City employee for their service, particularly during the pandemic". Tim George has been appointed by City Council to serve as Acting City Manager for the City of Greenbelt.  Mr. George has worked with the City of Greenbelt as Assistant City Manager for the past 6 months. He has worked with a number of public and private sector organizations over his 28-year career, including serving as the City Manager for Glenarden and the City Administrative Officer for the City of New Carrollton. Due to his past experience, Mr. George has the skills to lead City staff and to maintain continuity in City services.
