Today the Federal Agents PBA Local 121 announced that the organization's annual fundraising campaign resulted in $13,000 being donated to Atlantic Health System's Goryeb Children's Hospital.
"Our 2021 fund raising is now complete and I am pleased to report our members and the public have stepped up and raised a total of $13,000," said Bruno Varano, President, Federal Agents PBA Local 121. "As the Federal Agents PBA Local 121 has done since 2005, 100% of these funds will be donated to the Goryeb Children's Hospital. In the midst of a global pandemic, I am thankful to our members and the public for being so generous."
Verano added, "Each year we launch a fundraising effort to benefit a specific cause in the State of New Jersey. We actively raise funds from our dedicated law enforcement members and the general public. Each year the Executive Board picks a different organization to donate the proceeds. This year the Executive Board chose Atlantic Health System's Goryeb Children's Hospital – a mission critical organization staffed by of healthcare heroes dedicated to caring for our most precious assets."
Previous years' efforts have benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, America's Special Kidz, The Believe Project, The New Jersey Special Olympics, Turning Point, Compassionate Treatment for Alcoholism & Drug Dependency, Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital, Comfort Zone Camp, Eden Family Services for Autistic Children, Ronald McDonald House, Robert Wood Johnson Pediatric Trauma Center, Pediatric Oncology unit at St. Joseph's Hospital, and other local charities.
