CONCORD, NH — A man from Hooksett was arrested on Sunday accused of driving under the influence after an accident.
Around 1 a.m., police were sent to the area of Hooksett Road and Embassy Avenue for a crash report. When they arrived, they found a vehicle facing north in the southbound lane after driving into a guardrail, according to Sgt. Mike Zappala of the Hooksett Police Department.
An officer determined there was no injury to the driver, Kylen Huuskonen, 20, of Hooksett, who was the only person in the vehicle.
"Huuskonen displayed signs of impairment while speaking to (an) officer and also admitted to drinking alcohol prior to driving," Zappala said. "Huuskonen was asked to take field sobriety tests, which he agreed to, and was subsequently arrested for DUI."
Huuskonen was taken to police headquarters where he was asked to take a breath test and refused, Zappala said. He was processed and released to a sober party on personal recognizance bail. Huuskonen is due in Hooksett District Court on Monday.
