Press release from East Penn School District: December 18, 2021 East Penn School District / District News / Message from the Superintendent Regarding EHS Lockdown Dear Parents/Guardians, As reported by the District on Friday, December 17, 2021, the Emmaus Police Department and other law enforcement authorities launched an investigation to find the source of the troubling messages that led us to lock down Emmaus High School Friday morning.  Earlier today, the Emmaus Police Department released a statement that their investigation "revealed that the threats were a hoax orchestrated by a 14 year old female juvenile."  We wish to thank the Emmaus Police Department for coordinating an immediate and thorough investigation of the threats to Emmaus High School. We are fortunate to have strong community partners who protect the safety of our students and staff.  We recognize that some may feel anxious or hesitant about returning to school on Monday. Please watch for further communication tomorrow regarding the supports that we will have in place for our students and staff, so that they can confidently return to Emmaus High School.
