****I will be put down if I don't find an ADOPTER by end of day Dec 22..... Read entire post.***** Hi, I'm Griffin (Dog compatibility unknown, slow intro required). I'm set to be put down on 12/23, 8 am. Who can save my life? I'm not handling the shelter life anymore, it's too stressful. I do not want to die! I'm a 3-year-old, neutered, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier (57 lbs.). I came into the shelter as a stray. Volunteers say I am friendly, playful, energetic, and love attention. I also love being petted and will 'sit' for treats and take them gently. I have fun with toys and can entertain myself when they are around. I pull on a leash but walk well when a 'modified harness' is used. Because I am very frustrated from being confined, I get overly excited when I get out and will jump up, grab at leashes, and get mouthy at times. That said, treats or toys can distract me and help me settle. Not sure how I am with other dogs since there have been no dog-to-dog evaluations for 8 months here at shelter. I need to be out of here ASAP! I need a home that will provide routine and structure and one where I can decompress and relax. Children in the home must be 5+. I hope someone steps up for me! I don't want to be put down! Can you save my life? Love, Griffin
