Description

Worship With Family and Friends in Trinity’s Sanctuary Trinity invites you to gather your family or close friends this month and worship like never before—in Christmas services just for you. Although it may not be until Dec. 16 that Trinity announces a decision on whether or when in-person services will take place on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, you can reserve the sanctuary for up to 30 minutes for up to 30 people to take part in a recorded service of music and messages on days before Christmas Eve. The half-hour Merry Little Christmas Services are scheduled at various times from Thursday, Dec. 10, through Wednesday, Dec. 23. You can also call the church at 715-258-7688 to make reservations by phone. Trinity’s Health Committee and staff designed the series of small Christmastime gatherings as the safest option for in-person worship in light of recent survey responses. Even if public-health circumstances allow more traditional services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, many people still will not feel safe gathering in larger numbers, and singing won’t be possible. The 30-minute services allow people to gather with family or close friends, find places in pews at a distance of their choice, and even sing. Please note: We ask you to mask and only gather near people with whom you are already in close contact . Members of separate households may choose to share a half-hour gathering time and spread across the sanctuary, but only one person can reserve each 30-minute time slot for a group of up to 30. All scheduled times will be at least an hour apart to allow airborne particles to subside, and cleaning protocols will be in place. Volunteers are needed to usher members in and out and start the recorded services on the sanctuary screens; please contact the church office if you can help . Recorded services will include music and lyric slides for popular carols, Bible readings, and a short sermon. Participants may instead choose to pray, sit quietly, or sing hymns on their own in the half-hour. They may also take photos or videos and share them for a Christmas webcast.
