Keynote Speaker: Susan Stokes Boothe, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, MSMAs a 1997 graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University’s Master’s of Science Management program in Indianapolis,Susan Stokes Boothe serves as the Ohio Department of Development’s Chief Operations Officer within the State of Ohio. Her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification, as well as her Senior Certified Professional designation from the Society of Human Resource Management equip Susan to apply her enthusiasm and critical thinking skills to her work. With over 25 years in Human Resources leadership, managing initiatives associated with talent, layoffs, conflict, employee relations, policy, business partnerships, performance management, project management and operational savvy spans from corporate to small business, a start-up venture and now in State government. A Hoosier at heart, Susan graduated Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana in Telecommunications. Her corporate years with Sentry Insurance, Chase Bank (a.k.a. Bank One) and Macmillan Publishing paved the path for consistency, protocol, and adaptability. She’s thrived in a myriad of cultures, industries, and results-based positions. There is never a wrong time to do the right thing. And for Susan, doing what’s best for the business or the agency may not be what is popular but is typically necessary. Change - it’s what most sustainable companies do well and often do.
