Do you want to be informed!?! Please attend one of our Fit & Informed Sessions and feel confident all of your questions have been answered! The Fit and Informed INFORMATION session: This event is intended to improve the applicant’s knowledge, understanding and performance for the January, 2022 Entry-Level Firefighter Examination, by offering test taking tips, preparation strategies, communication techniques for the FOAM and the dimensions. An overview of the Firefighter Testing and Selection Process: Steps of application through hire to the CFD Fire Academy. Overview of testing phases and test content of the 2021 Civil Service study guide material. Fit and Informed Session overview will consist of: Columbus Civil Service Phases of testing review of: -Phase I Multiple-Choice/ Written Examination -Phase II Firefighter Oral Assessment Mechanism/ FOAM -Phase III Firefighter Mile/ Physical test This is a class room setting. This session is not a physical fitness event. Applicants that do not have prior EMS or fire experience will benefit from attending this session. This event is OPTIONAL, and does not give any preference points to applicants. This is a free information session only and overview of material is subject to change.
