Description
3 males and 3 females available A dog breed does not rise to the top just overnight. Centuries of cultivating superior characteristics have built the lineage, pedigree and high standards that make up the Poodle breed. Only Purebred Poodles hold the Gold Standard. Throughout history, the Poodle has demonstrated top intelligence levels amid any other breed of dog. Among having triumphed the competition time and time again, the poodle breed has recently become a phenomenon in the “designer dog” trending category. Nowadays all you see is poodle mixes roaming the streets and parks with their owners. While I love doodles just as much as I love all dogs, the facts still remain that a doodle is not a poodle. When you produce a mix of dog breeds, that is exactly what you’re going to get: a mix. For example, let us focus on the Goldendoodle: half poodle/ half golden retriever, or any percentage mix for that matter; 75% poodle, 50%poodle, etc. The poodle has only one coat of curly hair that continuously grows and needs to be groomed periodically. It also does not shed and is hypoallergenic. For contrast, the golden retriever has long to medium straight hair with two coats: a top coat and an undercoat, which does shed and causes allergens to those who are sensitive. Thus, when you get a poodle mix, you’re getting both furs. DO NOT FALL FOR THE FALSE PROMISE OF ONLY GETTING POODLE FUR GENES. YOU WILL BE GETTING BOTH. ONLY PUREBRED POODLES ARE HYPOALLERGENIC AND DO NOT SHED. Most poodle mixes such as labradoodles, aussiedoodles, huskypoos, will shed and are not hypoallergenic. It is a false claim that has made the mix breeds so popular. However, there is an exception. If you are looking for a hypoallergenic poodle mix, the Maltipoo is hypoallergenic because the Maltese breed also carries one coat and sheds lightly. Thus, the outcome will be the hypoallergenic gene from both Maltese and Poodle breed. But, if you want a top tier dog, the purebred poodle is the only way to go. Remember, the Poodle breed has weeded out any unfavorable characteristics for centuries in order to come up with the fine tuned breed we have today. But like with any dog breed, the poodle also inherits possible genetic disorders such as hip dysplasia, just like a Dalmatian has a high chance of being deaf. So, imagine producing a mix breed with both inherent genetic disorders. The issues at sue rise much higher than just hair type and shedding around the house. You’ll find yourself going to the vet more frequently than you’d like to. So, let's try and keep it PUREBREED to avoid major health concerns. Choose Apollo High Standards Poodles
