The Repair & Maintenance Associate performs hands-on repair and installation tasks to ensure the community and grounds are maintained in accordance with company standards and regulatory guidelines. This position is outdoors with flexible hours. Approximately 20 hours per month. Job duties include: -Inventory check and perform security rounds -Maintaining general appearance of the buildings and property -Occasional painting, concrete patchwork, power washing, litter and debris clean up, minor fence repairs -Prepare vacant storage units for new tenants, including sweeping unit, lubricating doors, replacing door gaskets, applying pest prevention, painting floor if needed -Assist in occasional customer emergencies -Light roof repair, such as troubleshooting leaks and replacing screws Requirements: Valid driver's license Basic knowledge and maintenance experience Must be in good physical condition, able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, etc. Ability to respond to occasional evening or weekend emergencies. Must be safety-minded and have good safety habits Friendly with customers Watchful and observant for security purposes Spanish-speakers welcomed. Must be able to converse easily in English.
