Christian Worship Celebration Why we are postponing Sunday evening Governor Gretchen Whitmer and MDHHS Director Robert Gorden issued a “Pause” order (Emergency Order under MCL 333.2253 – Gatherings and Face Mask Order) in Michigan for the next three weeks. The order impacts indoor and outdoor gatherings. This is to slow down the current surge of the spread of COVID-19. Our Safe Gathering Task Force met Monday evening (11/16/2020) to interpret the order and to discuss our response. The Pause order was not specific to church worship gatherings. However, we thought it best to join the Pause order and suspend our in person worship celebrations. I know right, we just came back, had an incredible worship experience, and now we are pausing already. Covering You Against Coronavirus, through faith and prayer, is a priority. Reducing the risk for our ministry family is the wise thing to do. Not gathering in large numbers over the next three weeks (through 12/6/2020) is a way to do this.
