New SCs who have never been to New Site Coordinator Training will be trained in the CIS model of Integrated Student Supports Communities In Schools is the nation’s leading community-based organization working to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.  Communities In Schools works within the public school system, determining student needs and establishing relationships with local businesses, social service agencies, health care providers, and parent and volunteer organizations to provide needed resources to students and their families. Communities In Schools of Georgia, the state CIS organization, supports the work of local CIS affiliates and Performance Learning Centers throughout Georgia to improve outcomes for students and schools.
