Help wintering birds by creating a bird feeder for your backyard! Did you know many birds will stick around for the winter instead of migrating south? Come learn more about these wintering birds and help them survive the season by creating bird feeders! It is $4 cash per participant upon arrival. Bird feeder material will be provided. We are using pinecones, peanut butter, and bird seed. You can also bring in an old milk or juice carton to repurposed into a house-like bird feeder. All other supplies such as paint and string for hanging feeders will be provided. You will receive a bird ID sheet to see who is visiting your bird feeder! We will meet inside the visitors center at Hither Hills State Park Campground. The entire event will take place indoors.
