Run for the Sea Turtles and help raise funds for the NSU Sea Turtle Conservation Program! Imagine yourself with a coffee cup in hand, walking the beach, and oh wait, what's all these pink flagged stakes everywhere on this beach? Sea Turtle nests. Did you know Florida accounts for more than 70% of the nation's sea turtle nesting beaches? Broward County specifically sees Loggerheads, Leatherbacks, and Greens nesting each year. Our local sea turtle conservation group from Nova Southeastern University is getting prepared for another nesting year in March and could use our help! Therefore, we are throwing a fun 5k run with proceeds benefiting the NSU Sea Turtle Conservation Program! The money raised for the run will help fill their supply chain, provide cushion for ATV expenses, Outreach events, and so much more! Details for the Run: Date: February 19th, 2022 Address: LauderAle Brewery - 3305 SE 14th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 Time: Check in time 8 - 8:15 am , Run starts at 8:30 am There will be live music, a fun raffle, food trucks, local vendors, etc. back at the brewery for you to enjoy after the run.
