Santa Rises To The Occasion For Children At Mease Countryside

CLEARWATER, FL — Children at Mease Countryside Hospital received a nontraditional visit from Santa Saturday morning when he climbed to the top of the Clearwater Fire & Rescue bucket truck to wave at them as they watched from the windows of their hospital rooms. Santa, who moonlights as a Clearwater firefighter, also joined the Local 1158 of the Clearwater Fire Fighters Union in dropping off toys for the children Because of COVID-19 guidelines, many of these children wouldn't have had an opportunity to see Santa this year without the help of the firefighters.
