BRADENTON, FL — Public assistance is needed as the Manatee County Sheriff's Office works to identify a man who robbed a Bradenton convenience store in September.
The man, armed with a single-shot, sawed-off shotgun, walked into the Circle K at 904 30th Ave. E. on Sept. 23 around 10:35 a.m. and demanded money, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
He took the cash and rode away from the convenience store on a beach cruiser-style bicycle, heading west on 30th Avenue E.
The suspect is believed to have also robbed the Circle K at 3006 1st Street W. in Bradenton on Sept. 16. In that case, a suspect fitting the same description pulled a long gun from his pants and demanded cash, the sheriff's office said. He also rode away from the store on a beach cruiser-style bicycle.
No one was injured in either robbery.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 941-747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at 866-634-TIPS. Those providing tips could be eligible for a cash reward.
