Press release from the City of Rockville: December 17, 2021 Rockville, Maryland, Dec. 17 – City Hall and city facilities will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 23; on Christmas Eve, Friday, Dec. 24; Christmas Day, Saturday, Dec. 25; New Year's Eve, Friday, Dec. 31; and New Year's Day, Saturday, Jan. 1. City Manager Rob DiSpirito announced in a message to city employees today that he, along with the Mayor and Council, has authorized Dec. 23 as a holiday for city employees "as a sincere expression of the gratitude we have for you and the great year of service you've provided our residents." City Hall remains closed and will reopen to the public Monday, Jan. 3. The Rockville Senior Center; Croydon Creek Nature Center; Lincoln Park, Thomas Farm and Twinbrook community centers; Glenview Mansion; and the Rockville Civic Center business office will be closed Dec. 23-25, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre box office will be closed Tuesday, Dec.21-Monday, Jan. 10. Theater tickets are always available at www.rockvillemd.gov/theatre. The Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open for normal hours on Dec. 23 and open with limited services and activities on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 and will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
