Looking for sax lessons - basics

Description

Hi saxophone instructors, I'm a male in my 50's. I have been trying to learn to play saxophone for years (just ask my neighbors.) A number of years ago, I started with the clarinet, then moved to alto sax. But then moved again, to a Yamaha YTS-23 (tenor). Been learning and practicing, for a few years, on and off. (Off at the moment.) I have yet to develop a smooth playing style. Maybe I'm hopeless. Maybe I'm asking too much of myself. If you think you might be able to help, feel free to shoot me a response. You should know, I'm not looking for a ton more fruitless lessons; I am looking for someone that can diagnose what I'm doing wrong, and give me clear instructions what to adjust to be able play a smooth quiet tone, all notes, with confidence. I can pay with cash. Or, I can trade for certified private pilot or instrument ground training. And can also point you to the most cost effective flight school in Sac, for a musician that wants to become a pilot. So, do you think you can teach an old guy how to blow a nice smooth tone? Sorry to have to say this, but I will ignore replies that look fishy. You must convince me your legit, with a thoughtful reply.
