Press release from the City of Evanston: 12/17/2021 3:47 PM The City of Evanston has announced changes in service delivery and facility schedules in recognition of the Christmas and New Year's holidays. Refuse Collection During the Christmas holiday week, all residential trash and recycling collections will occur as normal. Friday condo trash and recycling collections will occur on Friday, December 24, 2021.  During the New Year's holiday week, residential trash and recycling collections will occur as normal. Friday condo trash and recycling collections will occur on Friday, December 31, 2021. 311 The City's 311 Center will be closed on December 24 and December 31.  Facilities The Morton Civic Center will be closed on December 24 and December 31. The Robert Crown Community Center will be closed December 24, 25 and January 1. The building will close at 5 p.m. on December 31.  The Ecology Center will be closed December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.  The Chandler-Newberger Center, Noyes Cultural Arts Center and Fleetwood Jourdain Community Center will be closed December 24-26 and December 31-January 2. The Levy Senior Center will be closed December 24-26 and December 31-January 2. The building will be open for the Congregate Food Program and front desk only December 27-30. The Main Evanston Public Library will be closed on December 25 and January 1. It will close at 3 p.m. on December 24 and 5 p.m. on December 31. The Robert Crown Branch Library will be closed on December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.  Parking Christmas (December 25) and New Year's Day (January 1) are City of Evanston parking holidays.
