Do everything you can to avoid being picked up and picked on by Yelp. Yelp will ruin you once you are in their sights. Here is their modus operandi in a nutshell. Yelp gets wind you are conducting business and lists you. When some reviews appear, they post the good ones making you feel good about them. Then the sales calls begin. Lots of them. Multiple calls daily trying to sell you advertising. If you refuse the good reviews come down and are replaced with bad ones. This continues until you either accept the extortion or not. If you continue to refuse to pay you will continue to see only bad reviews. They will be listed first, not chronologically. Yelp will ruin you before you get started. They are ruthless criminals. They justify it under the guise of free speech. They allow anonymous people to post about your business leaving no recourse. Yelp is the worst organized criminal element in the world today. They will absolutely ruin you. Until somebody does something definitive to remove them from the scene, you either pay them or you don't bother starting a business. Fuck Yelp
