Kitty found about a week ago, she knows how to use a litter box. She has been treated for fleas, dewormed herbally, claw tips trimmed (she is very nice about allowing me to trim her), she has been rehydrated gradually over a week, her skin is no longer tenting. Ears are clean with no signs of eye or lung infections. Kitty is very friendly and affectionate when handled, becomes a fraidy kitty again when left alone for a little while. Kitty is not aggressive, won't claw at you or bite you, and will warm up and lose the fear quickly when you hand feed her something she loves. Kitty has slept with us on our bed a few nights with no problems. This cat needs a lot of love, attention, and warmth through the cold winter season. Kitty has likely survived on mousing alone for many months, she is probably less than a year old. She might also be prego, judging by the size of her nipples and a growing belly. If you can give this kitty a safe heated place with plenty of food and the ability to get out (when it warms up) to hunt, this would be her ideal new home.
