If you are sick and tired of the Pandemic and the cold, how about spending some time in the Florida keys helping build a home, dock and a swimming pool. We lost our home in Hurricane Irma and have stick built a new home to replace it. The house is about done and the dock is poured with concrete. The pool and the landscaping are in process. We are located in Marathon Florida in the heart of the Keys. The weather is summer all winter and the fishing and swimming are always good. The Island of Marathon has had very fewer cases of Covid -19, so it is a safe place to live and work primarily because we live and play out side all day. CARPENTER., MECHANIC, MASON, TILE SETTER, STUCCO, LANDSCAPE LABORER NEEDED... We are a licensed General Contractor with 43 years of experience. We need 3 people that want to work. We need people with construction experience as their trade. We have short term living quarters provided. NO PETS. No room for campers. We have work comp insurance. We reimburse travel expenses after you have proved your not just here for a QUICK beach vacation! Rate of pay will depend on proven performance and ability. One month probation period. Please do not show up with a sob story and ask for a draw. Plenty of work on other commercial projects out ahead. Most weeks we work about 50 hours. We will generally start at 7 am and quit about 5:30 pm with a 10 minute morning and afternoon break and a 30 minute lunch. However, work hours and days off will be decided as the job progresses and as the job needs. Paydays are semi-monthly. Direct deposits come on the middle and end of the month. Paychecks lag by one half of the month so be prepared to have money to carry you until payday. We are a smoke and drug free workplace. If you work hard you will be rewarded! If you are a producer you will be rewarded. The crew does take time occasionally to go to Key West or out fishing or up to Miami for fun. Family is important and we do work with our employees to take time to have a life. Housing provided for up to one month to allow for time to find a living space if you want to stay in the keys.. Marathon can be hot so plan on working in shorts and drinking water. Previous employment references and background check required. This project will be short term but there will be more work after that. Construction has not been hampered by the virus in Marathon. Or if your looking for 2 or 3 months work and then go home, that is ok. If you want to work short term we can talk about it. Here is a video about Marathon!
