Class B License Preferred! Job description We are looking for a full time driver/warehouse helper to assist with pickups of air cargo shipments from EWR/JFK airport. We are a US customs brokerage / 3PL. Our operations team facilitates customs clearance, warehousing, and inland transportation for various importers throughout the US. Some responsibilities of the logistics operations assistant include: Picking up and delivering shipments while driving a 26" box truck, or similar. Facilitating inspection of cargo shipments at the United States Department of Agriculture Plant Inspection Station Monitoring shipment statuses to ensure the following days' pick-ups are available Regular communication with Customs & Border Protection and the United States Department of Agriculture officers Verifying shipment quantities and waybills as they are picked up/delivered Loading and unloading trucks with a forklift or pallet jack Sorting, palletizing, labeling, re-icing, shrink wrapping shipments as needed Preferred work experience: 2 years of box truck driving Requirements: Must have a smartphone A clean drivers license Regular drug and alcohol testing Skills: Forklift certification and experience a plus Education: High school diploma We look forward to working with you.
