Join Friends of the Boston Harborwalk for a brisk walk around Pleasure Bay as we look for winter birds.
Did you know that birding at Pleasure Bay is best in the winter? Saturday, Jan 8 at 10 a.m., bring your binoculars and join Friends of the Boston Harborwalk and naturalist Jim Sweeney for a brisk walk around the bay. We’ll stop to hear about the creation of Marine Park and the bay, and we’ll look for eiders, buffleheads, mergansers and more.
Meet at picnic tables next to Sullivan’s at Castle Island. Registration is required.
In case of inclement weather, the back-up date is Jan 22 at 10.
The Friends of the Boston Harborwalk is a volunteer group affiliated with Boston Harbor Now. The group meets monthly to promote awareness, public enjoyment and local stewardship of Boston’s 43-mile Harborwalk.
