Wanting a dog/puppy

We are in search for a dog/puppy. If not a puppy the older dog has to be safe to be around cats and young teens. This pet isn't a Christmas gift, we want one for a lifetime not a holiday. Our dog died and we have been wanting another one. Please let me know. Medium to larger breeds please. We do not have a vehicle or transportation to come and get the dog so it would need to be brought to us or in town for us to use a taxi. Thank you for your time!
