Matheson, Inc. is looking for an experienced Shop Manager in our Fife, WA shop to help us as we expand to new heights and support our growing Service and Repair operations. Shop Managers who are highly motivated and career-minded are invited to come grow with us! The Shop Manager plays a vital role in our Maintenance and Repair operation. The Shop Manager's primary responsibilities include management of the day-to-day operations of the shop, mentoring and managing the workflow of the Technician(s) to assure the Shop is functioning efficiently while adhering to Company standards. APPLY HERE: Job Requirements: - Ninety percent (90%) of the responsibility will be servicing & repairing engines, transmissions, trailers and working hands-on with the technicians. - Familiar with the maintenance and repair of all class 8 truck and trailer systems and components. - Perform Annual vehicle inspections as required for State and Federal compliance. - Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance. - Monitor tool and part inventories, condition and maintenance of shop to ensure safe working conditions. - Counsel Technician(s) about work-related issues and assist them with correcting job-skill deficiencies. - Conduct or arrange for Technician training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment usage. - Minimum of seven years industry experience, completion of a nationally accredited, industry-specific technical school program. - Journeyman-Level Maintenance & Repair of diesel engine and drive train systems. - Must have own tools and storage - Brake, A/C and Federal Inspection Certifications - Ideally will possess a valid CDL Class A License to operate the commercial equipment on public roads for diagnostic review and vendor repairs. Compensation: Will commensurate with experience. This is an exempt position.
